So, when you see the weekend blockade schedule, it's in order first by pay status (subscription or doubloon) and then by time. That's so you can scroll right to the system in which you're focused on earning PoE, and then straight to what's going on right now.
Before it gets to you, that list lives in a home-brewed database that spits 'em out onto a web page in order by ocean, to make it easier to double-check against each ocean's Notice Board. And when you put this weekend's blockades in order by ocean, you notice something. Cerulean and Emerald have a handful of blockades each, each fitting neatly into a browser window. But when you get to Meridian, that list scrolls on and on and on.
For the most part, it's because Annunaki and Sick Man's Dream are attacking everything that Azarbad the Great isn't attacking already. Also, did you know that Legacy of Laughter, defending several islands this weekend, are now Legacy of Lumberjacks? Yes. This is so that you'll have Monty Python tunes stuck in your head all blockade long.
