You could light up the universe and have a star named after you or you could help light up Baltimore’s Little Italy.
Many of you have crossed under the Little Italy banner sign on Eastern Avenue that says Little Italy in teeny lights. Well the sign needs community support to help service the lights and create a more energy efficient, luminous archway.
The goal
The promotion center for Little Italy, Baltimore needs to raise $8,700 to service the nine strands of lights. This will include repairing the faulty wiring and sockets and replacing 2,355 bulbs with energy efficient LED lamps.
For a mere $5 you can sponsor a bulb or if you are feeling flush you can buy half a strand for $500 or a full strand for $1,000. Bulb sponsors, business and individuals alike, will be recognized on posted lists around Little Italy, in their newsletter and on the Little Italy website.
