This semester, a team of five students was selected from the award winning Georgia College chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America to participate in the 2013 national Bateman case study competition. This year, the competition's goals are to increase awareness among children, teens, young adults, parents and other key audiences of the serious short and long term consequences of youth bullying and inform these audiences of the steps they can take to help prevent and report bullying.

This is what they have to day about this CAMPAIGN... @PSSIYM - PSSIYM is an initiative to raise awareness of bullying in every form and on every medium. Be a catalyst for change, Put Some South in Your Mouth.
During February, our team will be utilizing the slogan "Put Some South in your Mouth: Belles and Beaus Don't Bully" to engage local students, teachers, and parents in educational events and workshops. Events take on various formats including speakers, stations, and activities for students to participate in. We are taking our event "on tour" to local organizations and schools. The events include a workshop with the High Achievers program of Baldwin High School on Feb. 19th, an on-campus Anti-Bullying Awareness Rally at Georgia College on Feb. 25, an after school program and workshop with the Boys and Girls club of Milledgeville on Feb. 26 and a series of assemblies with the Early College program of Georgia College on Feb. 28 for 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th graders.
