Pussy Riot inspired performance at Columbia Wednesday 3/13/13

On Wednesday evening March 13, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Pussy Riot: The Sequel, a theater performance inspired by an eyewitness account of the protest performance that got two members of the Russian punk group Pussy Riot sentenced to a prison camp and a third member sentenced to probation, will be performed in Russian without translation by actress and director Varvara Faer and actress Milena Tskhovreba at Columbia University's Italian Academy in its Teatro Room. Ekaterina Samutsevich, the Pussy Riot member who was sentenced to probation will participate via Skype. Advance registration is required, and registered guests must arrive by 6:45. A video of the performance with English subtitles will be uploaded to the website of Columbia's Harriman Institute at a later date.
