Dwight and Nicole have just released their second album Shine On. The duo mixes folk, blues, reggae, jazz, gospel, and pop to create a sound all their own. The blending of genres just expands their musical pallet to express their feelings through song on a musical canvas. In their short career they have opened for the likes of BB King, Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry, Irma Thomas, Mavis Staples and more. You can learn more about this up and coming duo at their website.

Norah Jones by herself could draw a large crowd. Norah Jones is a nine time GRAMMY Award winner. Yes perhaps Puss N Boots is more country then her usual material. She has surrounded herself with talent, playing in smaller venues, and tickets are not priced sky high. The last time I saw Sasha Dobson she was opening for Norah Jones at Wolf Trap in 2012. Dobson is more associated with Jazz and has released three solo albums on her own. Catherine Popper has been the bass player for Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and Jack White. Their debut album No Fools, No Fun features five original songs and seven covers. The covers range from songs from Wilco, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, The Band, George Jones, Tom Paxton, and Jeb Loy Nichols. Their debut album is scheduled to be released tomorrow. .You can find out more about Norah Jones at her website. You can learn about Sasha Dobson at her site.

The 9:30 Club is the place to be Thursday night to experience another side of Norah Jones as she performs with Sasha Dobson and Catherine Popper in something new called Puss N Boots. It should be a fun night of musical discovery, talent and fun. You can find out ticket information, more about the venue and details about other upcoming shows at the venue's website.
