Pushing Up Maizeys

Miss Maizey is a rescued shelter dog from McMinn, Tennessee. She looks like a little beagle mix, she is approximately four years old and she is about 35 pounds. She was dropped off at the shelter with her three pups, luckily, because she was nursing, her stay was extended beyond the usual expiration date. Her pups were adopted quickly because they were so cute, a beautiful cross between Maizey beagle mix and an elusive traveling kibble salesman.

Pooches on the Move rescued Maizey and quickly found the most amazing Saco, Maine foster home. She is staying with Ms. Lisa Simmons and Buffy, Poodle Extraordinaire…and a couple of toilet trained cats, no, I’m not kidding. Lisa would be happy to talk with anyone interested in adopting Maizey.

Maizey is thriving in her foster home. In her first two weeks, she has learned how to be a dog. It’s been a slow lesson, as we’re pretty sure Maizey has always had to be a mommy, a food finder and a protector. She now knows that it’s okay to let someone else take care of her, and she is adjusting swimmingly. Speaking of swimming, Maizey enjoys going to the beach for walks, she sticks with her dog companions and her foster mom.

We would love for Maizey to be adopted into a home with animal companions. She loves having them around for company, she’s also an affectionate human snuggler!

She is housebroken, is not a barker, she is up to date on her shots, and she is being offered at a reduced fee! Please check out her photos and video!

In addition to Maizey beagle, we have dozens of other pups who would love to live with you. Please see the photos of pups currently being fostered in New England homes by visiting www.petfinder.com and www.adoptapet.com
