Who says purebred dogs don't wind up in animal shelters? Meet Tawny, the beautiful, friendly female German shepherd, temporarily calling the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter in Lompoc, Calif. home.
Her photo has been shared over 100 times, yet no one has offered to give this gorgeous dog a new chance. Tawny's description reads:
"Tawny is a classic shepherd in every way. She will need someone that is breed savy as well as dog savy. Tawny is verbally sensitive and will need someone that can give her some confidence building and obedience training in the proper way. She is fine with small dogs and a little excited with bigger dogs. Tawny seems to be okay with cats. With the right person, Tawny will make a great companion."
