PURE Nightclub host a live performance from Rev. Run and DJ RUCKUS

Rev. Run is one of the busiest pioneers from the legendary hip-hop group RUN-D.M.C.. And, believe it or not, Joseph “Run” Simmons’ has always been about HIS hip-hop business/brand since 1981.

It’s a beautiful thing to know that he’s still going hard in this game.

Let’s just say on Tuesday, March 19 ̶ inside Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas, performing live - will be The Rev. Run and DJ RUCKUS!

For those that don’t know, Rev. Run was born in Queens, New York, which happens to be the birthplace of rap that transcended into the culture of hip-hop. By the time Rev. Run approached his teenage years- himself and two of his friends had been hooking up constantly to perform all around their neighborhood and town. As it stands, his friends McDaniels’ (D.M.C) and Mizell (Jam Master Jay) soon became the sensational RUN-D.M.C.; that’s it in a nutshell.

Nothing else mattered; therefore, the pursuit of happiness to modify rap music was a rap!

In the early days, Russell Simmons, Rev. Run’s older brother and co-founder of Def Jam Records encouraged his brother Run to show off his natural gift to entertain. In doing so, Simmons helped Rev. Run land his first record deal. For that reason, Rev. Run's slight flavor of fame sealed the deal for his personal vision.

Consequently, the Rev. Run, Kurtis Blow, along with so many other trailblazers' turned hip-hop all the way up. There wasn't any outwardly hater-gade going on and RUN-D.M.C. ended up being one of the hippest and slickest rap group of its time dominating the airwaves.

While living the life of a megastar, as well as being a contributing factor to the group RUN-D.M.C., Rev. Run and his crew transformed the thinking process of hip-hop/rap fanatics. Throughout the coast, this brand new musical expression hit countless boom boxes in and outside many homes with songs like “It’s Tricky,” “Mary, Mary,” “It’s Like That” and everybody began walking (Walk This Way) a certain way” with “My Adidas.”

In the meantime and in between time, Rev. Run went solo to pursue his own path in the most positive manner throughout the entertainment industry. Undeniably, The Rev. became a successful rapper, producer, reality star, déjà and a man of God; however, the most important job of it all is how the Rev. Run runs his household as a loving father to six beautiful children.

Now that's a clip note of some real to the bone, ain’t no shame in the Rev. Run’s game; WORDS OF WISDOM-he's still doing his own thing, walking a certain kind of way - shining his light- ooh so bright!

Who's DJ RUCKUS?

He recently linked up with fellow dGi Management talent and the legendary Rev Run to do a touring collaborative DJ set.

Ruckus strives to be a key individual in the DJ game that is recognized as someone that changed it. His advice to anyone else out there trying to achieve his or her goals is, "if you feel it in your heart first, then your mind, you'll be able to achieve it."

Also, music is definitely in DJ Ruckus's bloodline; he's a cousin of Lenny Kravitz. http://causeruckus.com/
