You’ve got that right— college football fans can purchase the right to purchase a ticket to the BCS Championship Game at the Rose Bowl on Jan. 6, 2014 for as little as $10, if they like the Boise Broncos, or as much as $323 for Alabama Crimson Tide. (Prices are as of this writing, and can change.)
Here’s how it works:
- Go to the Tournament of Roses BCS ticket page
- Click on “Team Specific Ticket Reservation (TeamTix)”
- Click on “Register Now” and then select your team
- To find out much tickets are going for, check the Recent Market Activity page
Here’s what you need to know:
- TeamTix are not tickets; they are reservations for the right to purchase tickets at the face value of $325 if your chosen team wins a spot in the BCS Championship Game
- Initial prices for reservations are set by the Tournament of Roses; after they are sold out, the demands of the market dictate the price
- There are no refunds on reservations if your team does not qualify
- If your team qualifies, you must complete the ticket purchase online yourself
- Once a reservation is purchased, it can be resold through the TeamTix Marketplace
