A puppy in Fort Worth, Texas, is recovering from injuries which were sustained when she fell over the side of a bridge on Highway 820 on April 2.

According to Apollo Support & Rescue for Abandoned Dogs, a woman witnessed the terrifying incident and she believes that the pup, dubbed "Pretty Girl," may have been intentionally hurled over the side of the bridge. A truck could be seen near the area where the pup tumbled over...whoever was in the vehicle did not make an attempt to retrieve, or even check on, the puppy after the terrifying fall.

Pretty Girl was left with a fractured femur - the severity of the break necessitated an involved surgery which her rescuers are still struggling to pay for.

Despite the puppy's obvious pain, she has remained "sweet as pie."

Anyone who is interested in helping to pay for this puppy's veterinary expenses can do so by either contributing to her established YouCaring account here, or directly to her veterinary clinic at : Chisolm Ridge Animal Hospital, 1100 N Blue Mound Rd #160, Saginaw, TX 76131, Phone:(817) 234-9919
