Mayberry, a beautiful Great Pyrenees/border collie mix, is a survivor.
When this gorgeous girl was just a year of age, someone looked into her trusting eyes and fired a gunshot into her face. The damage was severe and Mayberry had to undergo several surgeries to repair the horrific injury which left the upper plate in her mouth shattered.
Fast forward to today - though the person who was responsible for the cruel act was never found, Mayberry has made a full recovery.
For the past year, Mayberry has been in the care of Janice Wolf, with Rocky Ridge Refuge, and there is one final piece of the puzzle necessary to make this survivor's story a complete success - a loving home.
Wolf shared the following about Mayberry:
Mayberry is great indoors and would do well as an only dog, with plenty of human company, or with an easy going male dog that she could play with but who would allow her to be 'queen'!
She would do best in a quieter neighborhood or rural setting. She requires a 5-6 foot fence for her safety.
Just a special girl who has overcome a horrible experience and still is gentle and loving with all humans.
Please take a moment to network Mayberry's story with the hopes that it will reach that one, special person who can provide her with the wonderful life that she deserves.
