Puppy Mill dog is on the Mend

The following article is part of an ongoing effort to help homeless dogs in and around the Toronto/Hamilton area find suitable and loving homes. Currently, the need is great but the homes are few. Your help is desperately needed.

Speaking of Dogs Rescue of Toronto, Ontario would like you to meet Elly, a Labrador retriever that was rescued from a puppy mill.

This dear girl arrived at the rescue with runny eyes and itchy skin. She was taken to the veterinarian to get eye drops and skin pills. Now she is doing much better, although she still has some bald patches.

Elly also has a tumor on her mammary gland that will be removed. Despite all of her problems, she is a happy and friendly girl that loves people and is great with other dogs.

She is up-to-date on routine shots and housetrained. If you wish to adopt Elly or would like more information, send an email to Speaking of Dogs Rescue at lhh4dogs@rogers.com and put ‘Pet Inquiry: Elly PFId#21232933’ in the subject line. You can also call 416.444.4190.
