Days ago, a Flint, Mich., woman made a heartbreaking discovery in the closet of a rental home, reported Sunday's MLive.com.
Locked inside of a bedroom closet, without access to food, was a pit bull puppy who had been left behind by a tenant who had formerly occupied the house.
On Friday, the woman went to the residence to see if the house had been vacated when she discovered the emaciated puppy.
The skeletal puppy was rushed to an emergency veterinarian, but was euthanized after the vet determined that he was too far gone to save.
According to the publication, the tenant had exchanged text messages about a puppy and kitten who were still inside of the house; as of right now, it is unclear if the owner of the deceased puppy will face any criminal charges.
