Puppy Bowl is back for its eighth consecutive year as Animal Planet's answer to the Super Bowl. The gridiron of Animal Planet Stadium is filled with an all-new, all-star, all-adorable cast on Super Bowl Sunday, February 5, 2012.
Puppy Bowl VIII brings another loveable lineup of puppies, all up for adoption. Join the excitement of terrier tackles, touchdowns, puppy penalties, fumbles and fido first down. Sitting down for a Puppy Bowl game is bound to put a smile on the face of pet lovers. In addition to the adorable puppies, the event includes cute kittens, pep squad pigs, hamsters as balloon pilots and a Tweeting parrot.
New this year is Meep the Bird, who will live tweet the action from inside the stadium. Also new, the piggy pep squad will "ham" it up on the sidelines and squeal with delight for their favorite pups.
The show also features fan favorites, including the kitty cheerleaders, the splashy water bowl cam and kiss cam. An aerial view of the action is provided by a blimp and its hamster pilots.
