The Puppy Bowl 2013 lineup may be resting up for the big game as of this report, but the more-than-capable canine competitors will be taking to the field just hours before Super Bowl 2013. This year's Puppy Bowl IX will feature everyone's favorite furry friends as they bring their own brand of football to TV on Sunday.
There will be Puppy Bowl 2013 live stream and televised coverage beginning in the early afternoon on Sunday, Feb. 3. According to a report on Feb. 2 from LA Times, last year's edition of the game brought in the highest day of web traffic for Animal Planet: 5.5 million page views and 1.4 million videos streamed. This year's is set to be just as popular as the last, with this being the ninth edition of the new sports entertainment sensation.
Each year the Puppy Bowl gets even bigger and better. That stays true to form this year as they'll beef up the game's features and festivities once again. Among the new attractions are a "hot tub" for puppy players to relax in, "Puppy Cam" technology to give viewers close-up shots, and special "in your face" as well as slow-mo cameras to capture highlights. A special live puppy cam is already streaming footage from the locker room as the "players" prepare for their big game.
The Puppy Bowl 2013 lineup includes various breeds and mixes of breeds competing at Animal Planet Stadium. There's Biscuit the Puerto Rican Sato, Agatha the Miniature Pinscher, Cash the Pitbull, Fitz the Cathoula mix, Juniper the Great Pyrenees and Nala the Japanese Chin, among others. All of the Puppy Bowl players can be viewed in full color glory at the official starting lineup webpage. For those wondering, the sideline cheerleaders will be hedgehogs, while kittens will perform the halftime show. Eat your hearts out Beyonce and Destiny's Child!
The Puppy Bowl 2013 will show continuously in 2 hour time slots on Animal Planet starting at 3:00 p.m. EST Sunday afternoon. Roanoke viewers can watch the "game" on Cox Cable channel 40. Additionally, there will be a live streaming feed of Puppy Bowl IX online.
