Pumpkin picking on Oahu at Aloun Farms Pumpkin Patch

We may not have the crisp fall air on Oahu, but we do have pumpkin patches! This year, Aloun Farms will be having its eighth annual Pumpkin Festival at the end of October.

The Aloun Farms pumpkin patch is currently open for school groups, but the pumpkin picking will be open to the public October 23, 24, 30 and 31 from 8:30 am to 5pm. Admission is $1.00 per person (children 2 and under are free). The pumpkins are individually priced based on their weight.

In addition to pumpkin picking, Aloun Farms will offer tractor pulled hayrides, pony rides, farm style food, picture booths, and games. Families can also choose to pick Ewa sweet or Ewa sweet onions.

Some tips for your kids: Bring them plenty of sunscreen, dress them in cool, loose clothing (it can get very hot!), and have them in shoes that can be easily washed - it is very dusty and muddy. If you need to bring a stroller, jog strollers are the best option and are great for transporting heavy pumpkins (wagons are also a great choice!).
