The Pumpkin Chase, sponsored by the Trempealeau Lions Club and several local businesses, is organized by Girl Scout Troop #4529. The race features a 5K run for participants 13 years and older, as well as a one-mile fun run for those 12 and under.
In the 5K, the top three runners in each age group will receive medals. In addition, every child in the one-mile fun run will earn a medal and a commemorative event tee shirt, if registered by October 5.
Online registration is currently closed, but race-day registration is available for the Pumpkin Chase in Trempealeau. Entry fees total $20 per person for the one-mile fun run and $25 for the 5K.
Participants are urged to wear bright orange shirts, celebrating the pumpkin theme. Both races begin at the Historic Trempealeau Hotel, located at 150 Main Street, in Trempealeau, Wisconsin. The 5K starts at 9 a.m., followed by the kids’ run at 9:05 a.m.
