This pumpkin bread is beautiful in color. It is a rich brownish orange color because there are so many spices included. Once you try this pumpkin bread, you'll never want to try another recipe. My family has been making this for years. Make sure you refrigerate any leftovers. This bread freezes very nicely as well.
Pumpkin Bread
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 5 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 3 c. flour
- 2/3 c. water
- 2 c. pureed pumpkin
Mix all ingredients together well with a mixer. Pour evenly between two bread pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Makes 2 loaves.
