Bind is headed to Jay Adcock’s Red River Farm in Coushatta, Louisiana, to stand at stud during breeding season 2014. Owned by Claiborne Farm, Adele Dilschneider and Nathan Granger, Bind is the five-year-old son of Pulpit. His starting stallion fee has been set at $1,500.
The young stallion was bred by Claiborne Farm in Kentucky. He is by Pulpit, out of Check by Unbridled. His breeding is the same cross as Tapit. Bind was trained by Al Stall. Jr.
Bind is the half brother of Hakama, who ran and placed in the Grade III 2012 Illinois Derby.
Bind won when he was three, four and five. He had eight racing career starts of which he was on the board six times for Trainer Stall. He won three six-furlong runs at Fair Grounds Race Course and Slots and also hit third on March 2 in the Sam Houston Sprint Cup Stakes. His run at Keeneland’s Commonwealth Stakes only put him in the fourth slot. His final record is 3-2-1 and his earnings amount to $108,335.
