Pull-toy potter, Linda Vroegindewey at Stifel & Capra (Photos)

Linda Vroegindewey is a potter who produces a variety of objects, but the things that caught my attention are pull toys shown at Stifel & Capra in Falls Church. She is in the “whimsy” category on Etsy.

People who enjoy ceramic whimsy items often drive hundreds of miles to find them. If you live in the DC area, they are right at hand. These toy-like items prompt memories of my visiting my grandmother when I was a child. She didn’t have a lot of toys around, but managed to bring out objects that my brother and I could play with.

One was a McCoy pottery frog planter (without the plant). Another was a pair of wooden shoes carved by my great uncle who was a woodworker.

Anyway, if we had access to pull toys, I think that would have been fun.
When the kids aren’t looking, you could pull them around yourself. They make a great sculpture for interior design.
