NATIONAL DAY OF THE AMERICAN COWBOY
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
What better place to celebrate the National Day of the American Cowboy than in the Fort Worth Stockyard Historic District. The day will be filled with fun activities for the whole family. Whether you are ready for the action or just want to be a spectator, you are sure to have a galloping good time.
Most of the activities offered will be free, including a variety of contests from watermelon eating, hay stacking, seed spitting and more. If your talent is more vocally inclined, then sign up for some “Cowboy Karaoke”. The event will also include live performances and a fashion show featuring outfits from the 1800s. If you are more of a “gun slingers”, then enter the “Quick Draw Cap Gun” contest. The day will conclude in true Chisholm Trail style with the Fort Worth Herd Cattle Drive at 4:00 PM.
