Puddle of Mudd releasing new album

Spokane Rock Music Examiner
Multi-Platinum recording artist Puddle of Mudd will be releasing their new album Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate on Tuesday, December 8th. The first single from the new album titled “Spaceship” became available to fans on October 27th, 2009. Producer Brian Howe of Bad Company fame was re-enlisted to work on this album in addition to producing the band’s previous albums including 2007’s Famous and 2001’s Come Clean. Puddle of Mudd is hoping for the same benchmark success they’ve achieved working with Howe in the past.
This new album follows the phenomenal success of the 2007 release Famous. The band feels Famous proved their consistency as a rock group not only in delivering what their fans were wanting, but also the success they delivered on every achievable business platform. Front man Wes Scantlin recently suffered a foot fracture simply by hopping off a stool after one of the bands performances. He’s been seen out and about sporting crutches but has stated he’s fine and even though he had to reschedule a couple of interviews, his injury would not compromise the album release scheduled for this week.
Wes has expressed as well he’s very proud of the bands current album work, but is most proud of what’s been accomplished over the years as a whole (as a band). The music business is nothing short of difficult and when a band can come together navigating through both the minefields and the successes, they feel they’re solidly building for their band’s future.
In addition to the lead singer and guitarist Wes Scantlin, bass player Doug Ardito, drummer Ryan Yerdon, the return of guitarist Paul Phillips rounds out the Puddle of Mudd line-up. Be sure to look for them in 2010 for they’re hitting the road once again on a North American tour starting January 21st in Providence, Rhode Island.
