If you take this dessert to an office gathering or a party everyone will ask for the recipe. Only a few ingredients will make this delicious dish. I had this dessert at a church potluck years ago and begged the maker for her recipe. This is my take on it.
Butterfinger Brownie Pudding Recipe
- 2 3.4 oz. packages of chocolate Jello pudding
- 4 c. milk
- 1 box brownie mix baked according to package instructions in a 9x13 pan
- 1 8 pack mini Butter finger candy bars
- 1 12 oz. container of Cool Whip, divided
Mix pudding and milk with a wire whisk or electric mixer in a large bowl and refrigerate until set. When pudding is set, fold in half of the container of Cool Whip. Cut pan of brownies in half. Put aside one half of the pan for another use. Break the other half of the brownies from the pan into bite size pieces and fold into the pudding mixture. Unwrap candy bars and place in a gallon size zoology bag. Lay bag on a towel and use a meat mallet to break the candy into coarse pieces. Fold half of the candy crumbs into the pudding mixture reserving the rest for topping. Place pudding mixture into a serving dish and ice with the rest of the Cool Whip. Top the Cool Whip with the rest of the crushed Butterfingers. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
