Todd Sloane is credited with coming up with the idea for the Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol years ago after coming on board with the company as a marketing analyst. Now, in his role as Senior Vice President of Creative, he reminds PCH Facebook Super Fans on Dec. 14 about some important safety tips for those who enter Publisher's many sweepstakes.
The Prize Patrol team member reminds fans that they never have to pay to collect their prize. So don't be conned by anyone who might call or contact you via mail, email or a Facebook post claiming otherwise.
Super prize Publisher Clearing House winners are never notified in advance. So if you win $10,000 or up you will not know about it until the prize patrol team knocks on your home or office door. And they will be carrying the "Big Check," along with the real one when they do.
You could be contacted by certified mail about winning smaller prizes and amounts, so PCH can confirm your name is correct for their check, but again, no one will be asking you to pay anything if you are notified that way either. So be leery of anyone sending you mail claiming to be this company if they say you have to pay anything to collect your prize, or if they ask for any type of banking information or credit card numbers. PCH does not do that!
PCH Facebook page followers (or those who follow prize patrol team member Danielle Lam, Dave Sayer or Todd Sloane on FB) should not ever expect Danielle, Dave or Todd to private message them on the social media site. They don't do that.
What they are known to do on the online site is to respond to posts that superfans may make, but you know for sure it is them or their representative making those posts, because they occur on the official PCH Facebook pages, not as a private message to you.
Todd Sloane says "the REAL prize patrol NEVER sends friend requests, winner notifications or private messages on Facebook."
Stay safe as you play online sweepstakes opportunities from PCH by keeping up to date about how they deliver those big checks (in person), and by knowing who is on their prize patrol team: Dave Sayer, Todd Sloane and Danielle Lam.
Current winning opportunities with Publishers Clearing House include the $1 Million A Year Forever prize, the $3 Million Dream Home sweepstakes and a number of other prizes, including a $100,000 A Week For A Year prize, a $10,000 Ski Vacation prize and an F150 fully loaded truck prize.
