“On Public Ladies Nights, participants play anytime after 4 p.m. on Tuesdays starting in May and carrying into September,” said Jonathan Schaepper, owner of Mountain Creek. “That’s more than 20 weeks of golf in a social atmosphere that focuses on fun.
“We will cap the number of golfers at 50 so they’ll be able to play at a comfortable pace.”
The league fee to become a public league player is expected to be $20 and the weekly fee is $15. There will be weekly and monthly prizes. Players are asked to call in their tee-times each week.
There’ll be a dinner during the final prize night, which will be held on the first Tuesday of October.
Mountain Creek is bringing in a new Parent-Child membership this season. One adult and two children can play for a membership cost of $300 plus HST on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays after 4 p.m.
And Schaepper is on the lookout for starters and marshals. They receive full memberships for working on the rotating basis of one day a week followed by two days during the following week.
Mountain Creek is situated six kilometres south of Arnprior — only 30 minutes past the Canadian Tire Centre.
The 18-hole championship course plays to par 70 and has four sets of tees. They are 6,207 yards from the blues, 6,017 yards from the whites, 5,483 from the greens and 5,403 yards from the reds.
