Public information meeting and volunteer season kickoff at Kings Gap

Program Coordinator, Gina Padilla of Kings Gap Environmental Education Center announced yesterday Feb. 27, that the Center will host a public information meeting to discuss operations at the center for the current and upcoming budget year.

The public meeting agenda focus on the operational budget, which will include staffing, programs, initiatives, projects and resource management. The public is invited to get involved and join in on a Q&A during the meeting.

Directly following the public meeting, the Center will welcome new and experienced volunteers to learn about this year's planned events and projects. Refreshments will be provided for the volunteer kickoff.

For those interested in volunteering, but unable to attend the meeting on March 14, please contact Gina Padilla at gpadilla@pa.gov or call (717) 486-3799. The center grounds are open to the public year-round from sunrise to sunset. For persons needing accommodations due to a disability, with at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
