There are many people in the world today that are told to believe that there is only one true spiritual path and it can only be from their recognized religion. Although many religions make reference to prophets, and healers etc. many now shun this and it's existence today citing that it is the work of the devil. Psychic Medium Susan Norgren brings together not only her knowledge of spiritual gifts and development but also the bible to clarify these things for us.
Dawn Gagnon: Do you believe spiritual gifts are from God and if so why do some religions reject this idea in your opinion?
Susan Norgren: Although my truth may not be the same as yours, it does lead us together on the same path. To grow spiritually. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that all spiritual gifts are of God who freely gave them to us when we were gifted with the gift of our physical senses. All of our gifts and abilities are "God" given. If we were not meant to have them, the perfect creator would never have "given" them to us. It is our responsibility to use our abilities wisely in helping (yes) others or ourselves. It is up to the person who is receiving the information to see if their information is from a higher source. My source is God.
The Bible and other holy writings acknowledge prophets, seers, dream interpreters, and gifts of discernment. The Bible has its prophets and gives many examples of spiritual people, doing prophecy and healing, the three wise men following astrology found the newborn Jesus. John the Baptist is only one of the prophets who foretold the future. Jesus himself was a wondrous metaphysician and a medium.
If it weren’t for spirit communication there would be no Bible. The Old Testament shows Moses receiving messages from spirit:
Mosaic Law was "received from the hands of angels" (Acts 7: 53); "God gave his laws to angels to give to Moses" (Gal. 3:19). God has always spoken to humankind through spiritual beings: "The message God delivered through angels has always proved true" (Heb. 2:2 NLT); the prophets of old spoke "according to the word of the Lord". The disciples were very "mediumistic": Peter and Paul both admitted to receiving visions while in a trance state and John reveals a whole range of personal "mediumistic" qualities including clairaudience, clairvoyance (internal visions and external visions), spirit travel, among other diverse manners utilized by communicating spirits or messengers.
Paul’s descriptions on: Gifts of the Spirit 1 Corinthians 12
To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits.
Gifts of Prophecy and Tongues 1 Corinthians 14
Follow the way of Love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.
Moses said, “Know ye not that ye are Gods?”
God loves us just the way we are. In fact, if God is your father, and you are God's child, does that not also mean that you are a part of God? Even though we may be a medium/prophetwho speaks with the word of God?

Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. Prophets, seers, and psychics are all the same thing only the names describing them are different.
