Most psychic mediums will tell you that we are all born with spiritual gifts and psychic ability. However, many are unable to tap into this hidden resource and yet others refuse to even believe in such an idea altogether. Susan Norgren helps explain what she feels about this subject.
Why do many people avoid embracing their spiritual gifts?
Susan: I would have to say it is the beliefs people have about psychics. Parental reactions are another, just as is misinformation from Hollywood horror movies, churches, and fear. Fear of the unknown. Fear of God’s wrath. Fear of not fitting in. Using and developing spiritual gifts is not something you learn in school like reading and science. Our society does not embrace using what many call “psychic powers.”
When we cut off one of our gifts we are incomplete and another part (in this case our logical mind) tries to balance things out. Kind of, like when if you are born blind you might hear better. This aspect of who we are does not show physically like being a red head. It is inside and has a quiet voice. When it jumps out as it does sometimes, it can scare us or our friends and family. It is the unknown. Some of us hide this part of who we are for fear of ridicule or of not fitting in. Today,I am grateful for ALL of my beautiful God given abilities.
How can people raise their spiritual awareness?
Reconnect with earth, in a natural, healthier, simpler way of life. Judge noone especially yourself. Have more fun doing what you enjoy. Sing, dance, practice yoga, or gather with others of a like mind. Drink and eat healthy food and water to nourish you mind, body and spirit. Know that you are on your spiritual path of discovery. Ask that your journey be done with grace and ease and that you learn your lessons in the best way possible. Release resentments. Our intuitions are just another aspect of who and what we are develop and use them.
