Gus: “There are still bears out here, Shawn. Black bears that feel no kinship to black men.”

This is definitely a different kind of Psych episode. First off, there isn’t any time spent in the precinct, visiting crime scenes, or interviewing witnesses. Now Psych is a show that can get away with being a little different. It’s not like Shawn and Gus are actual police detectives or anything, so it isn’t outside of the realm of possibilities that they take a case involving Bigfoot. Overall the episode is very enjoyable, there’s just a moment of realization that this is a very strange episode. Did you enjoy it?
Since this is an unusual case, there isn’t a homicide element until a good bit into the episode, which means there isn’t real detective work, or psychic sleuthing, going on. The beginning of the episode uses Shawn’s skills to try to figure out if Chavo and Kate are pretending to be Bigfoot or not, or if Bigfoot is really out there. Because of this, towards the end there is a lot of stuff thrown at the viewers that they really just need to accept. Serbians come out of nowhere with guns and start taking out people. It’s just strange, but then again, the entire episode is strange. Did you have trouble following everything towards the end?
