At first, it takes a while to figure out exactly who Chelsea is, the girl who is with Henry for most of the time. It’s been so long since the last season, and thankfully the writers do drop some clues. Henry’s fate isn’t too big of a concern for long, and it’s a bit of a letdown considering how big of a cliffhanger his shooting was. Henry still manages to help out Shawn with the case, and the scenes with Shawn worrying to hear about Henry’s fate are fantastic. Shawn and Henry’s scenes in the show are usually very comical, and so it’s a great change of a pace to see such concern, especially from Shawn. Did you love Henry and Shawn’s scenes in this episode?
Shawn goes off the deep end in this episode. Granted, it’s not too different from how he normally acts, but the scene that really stuck out for me is him trashing Jerry’s house. Other than that, he still seems like Shawn with his ignoring everyone else and doing what he feels needs to be done in order to solve the case. What did you think of Shawn in this episode?
What’s really great is seeing how everyone helps out Shawn. The Chief gives him permission to go off book, and Lassie is the one that really helps out the most. Unfortunately the writers don’t show their planning session, which is a missed opportunity because it could have been hilarious. Lassie teaches Shawn all he needs to know in order to break into a heavily guarded house and take down Jerry. If the writers would have shown more Lassie and Shawn working together, it would have been perfect, but it is still great that Lassie helps out. Did Lassie helping Shawn out surprise you?
