PS4 will focus on more play styles instead of powerful hardware (Photos)

With the impending announcement of Sony's next-generation console, the PS4, it appears that the powerful hardware that will be supplied along with the system will not be the main selling point that Sony is pushing for. Through a report that was posted by Engadget today, it appears that Sony will be pushing the idea of a variety of playing options as the major selling point for the PS4.

It is currently speculated that Sony will be revealing the PS4 at the upcoming PlayStation event that is set to take place on Feb. 20. While previously leaked specs for the PS4 revealed that the system will be supplied with an impressive eight core CPU and a powerful GPU, Sony will be capitalizing on the idea of implementing new play styles within the PS4.

Sony will be pushing harder on the aspect of making the PS4 a home entertainment hub. It has been rumored that Sony will be providing a redesigned controller for the PS4, which will implement a new touchpad and share button. If this is true, this will be one of the ways that Sony will be capitalizing on the idea of involving a variety of play styles with the PS4.
