While there are numerous rumors circulating around the inter-webs about Sony and Microsoft's next generation systems, the PS4 and Xbox 720, we have yet to receive official wording of when the official announcements of these systems will take place. Speaking of the announcement of the systems, today IGN released an article that revealed Sony's ideology behind the official unveiling of their system.
Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai has stated that Sony wishes to let Microsoft make the first move in the announcement of next generation systems, speaking toward their Xbox 720. "Why go first, when your competitors can look at your specifications and come up with something better?"
It has been heavily speculated that Sony and Microsoft will be revealing their systems in the coming weeks. Various sources have led us to believe that these systems will be announced prior to E3, which is taking place in June. Now that Sony has represented this ideology behind their plans of unveiling the PS4, it looks like Microsoft will be the one to look at for the first showcasing of the next generation of consoles.
