An industry insider has provided some information in regards to the shipment, stock and sales situations of the PS4. According to a report from Gear Nuke on Dec. 23, the next-generation system is on pace for another record breaking month.
The insider claimed that the Sony Computer Entertainment is shipping close to one million units in the Untied States for the last month of the year. The number averages to around 240,000 to 250,000 units per week. Since the next-generation system appears to be out of stock, it should be selling at around the same amount that was shipped.
I really hope someone comes forth with the weekly Xbox One number, because I can assure the PS4 is 240-250 k :). People are buying it.
Sony Computer Entertainment previously reported that the PS4 sold more than 2.1 million units as of Dec. 1 in just two weeks of launch. In addition to big holiday sales in the Untied States, the company also released the next-generation system in multiple countries this month.
North American players were the first customers to get their hands on the PS4, which was released on Nov. 15. Select European countries also received the next-generation system on Nov. 22 while a few Asian regions got the product earlier this month.
