The United Kingdom branch of Amazon has revealed the restock date for the PS4. According to a report from Push Square on Jan. 1, the online retailer disclosed that a new shipment of the next-generation system will be made available on Jan. 10.
The announcement caused a spike for the PS4 on the best-selling charts of Amazon U.K. The new console charted as high as eighth place even though it is technically not available. The most popular bundles are “Knack” and “Killzone: Shadow Fall.” In the United States, Sony only sold a standalone version of the next-generation system.
The PS4 has been reportedly sold out regularly over at the United Kingdom region since it launched on Nov. 29. Sony Computer Entertainment recently announced that more than a half-million units were sold in that territory alone as of the end of last year, easily beating out the competing Xbox One console.
The console manufacturer previously projected that the PS4 will sell five million units worldwide by the end of March. It looks like they may be able to easily surpass that milestone as the next-generation system has still not yet been released in Japan.
Sony Computer Entertainment launched the PS4 two weeks earlier in the North American region, with an official release date of Nov. 15, as opposed to the United Kingdom.
