It has been previously reported that Sony intends to redesign the traditional DualShock controller for their next generation system, the PS4. As the PS4 is expected to be officially announced at the PlayStation event that is scheduled for Feb. 20, today we have gained further knowledge on details surrounding the redesigned controller for the PS4.
Provided in an article by VG247 today, a source has confirmed that the PS4 controller will indeed feature a touchpad on the front of the device, while the start and select buttons have been moved. Taking on the same dimensions as the DualShock 3, this redesigned controller will feature a makeover for the L2 and R2 buttons in order to provide a better experience.
Apparently, the “Share” button that has been discussed in previous information leaks will not be present on this controller. But, as with anything of this nature, readers should take this information with a grain of salt.
