With Sony just recently revealing the PS4 for the first time, news is beginning to come in that suggests that this system is already showing a strong start. According to a report published by VideoGamer yesterday, GAME, a popular video game retailer in the United Kingdom, has revealed that PlayStation 4 pre-orders are “performing very well.”
"Just like the rest of the gaming community, we were glued to the coverage of the Sony announcement. We moved really quickly to get our PlayStation 4 pre-orders up and live and we saw a huge amount of excitement right from the word 'go'. Our PlayStation 4 pre-orders are performing very well so far.”
Speaking about the PS4 allowing support for disc-based software and used games, GAME has seen an “incredible excitement and interest” based on these two factors. "We think that's what the gaming community of the UK wants and so that's what we support.”
Currently looking forward to E3, which will take place in June, Sony is sure to bring forward much more information regarding the PS4, it's launch details, as well as more games that will appear on this platform.
