Atlus USA released a new trailer Monday for the procedurally generated survival horror game, Daylight. Playstation 4 owners who like a good fright can get a good look at how the Unreal Engine 4 powered title look when released in the next few months.
"You awake, trapped in an abandoned hospital. Your only source of light is your phone. You hit a dead-end and must turn around, but behind you lurks an eerie presence and strange noises..." the official description for the trailer taunts.
"Experience Daylight, a procedurally generated psychological thriller for your PlayStation 4. The all-new Unreal Engine 4 enhances the visuals of your escape to freedom like never before, heightening every bone-chilling detail of your surroundings. Get lost in a maze that changes with every playthrough, allowing for limitless replayability and the tension of unpredictability every time you start the game. Navigate to safety while avoiding what lurks in darkness. What will be waiting for you down the next corridor?"
Daylight was first announced last June by Zombie Studios and puts players in the role of a woman who wakens in an abandoned hospital. It is played from the first-person perspective but she and the player must survive without the use of any weapons or tools aside from a cell phone.
Atlus and Zombie Studios are currently targeting an early 2014 release for Daylight on both the PS4 and PC.
