From new report that has been brought to our attention by a post on IGN today, it seems that the much-anticipated “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” may be headed for Sony's next generation console, the PS4.
Initially spawned through a post on the popular video game forum NeoGAF, it has been source that the game will be dropping the “Versus XIII” for the title once Square Enix reintroduces it. As official information has been absent from this title for a extended time, it is expected that Square Enix will be showcasing this title later this year for the PS4.
Many fans of this title have lead to the fact that this game had been canceled, but Square Enix has stated that it is still in development. If the following information leads to be true, this will be a good explanation as to why Square Enix has decided to be silent about further information regarding this title.
As with anything of this nature, readers should take this information with a grain of salt. Sony is expected to announce the PS4 at the PlayStation event scheduled for Feb. 20. Hopefully we will hear more about “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” soon. For those interested, we have listed a few concept photos of the PS4 in the slideshow above this article.
