Best Buy rolled in with a Playstation 4 one-day bundle deal for Monday, July 28, 2014. The bundle throws in a game and a 12-month PS Plus subscription for a little more than the console costs by itself. There's also another PS4 bundle available that drops the premium service membership and gives the game for free.
Prospective PS4 owners can pick up a bundle from Best Buy that features the console, "Killzone: Shadow Fall" and 12-month PS Plus subscription card for $429.97. The console by itself $399.99, the game is usually around $29.99 and the premium service subscription is $49.99. The total price of this bundle would be $479.97 normally. So, you are effectively getting a year’s worth of PS Plus for free.
The other bundle features the PS4 plus "Killzone: Shadow Fall" and a controller kit for the DualShock 4 for $399.99.
Free shipping is available for both bundles as is free in-store pickup so that you can go grab it now versus waiting a couple of days for the package to arrive. State sales tax is applicable, however.
Doing comparison shopping at other retailers finds that the prices for these three items are much the same as described above with the exception of "Killzone." Fry’s Electronics currently has the game available for $19.99 but it’s an in-store only deal. Other retailers such as Amazon and even Best Buy itself have it priced from $29.99 to $39.99.
Other video game deals available for Monday only at Best Buy includes Nintendo 3DS and Xbox offers. You can pick up the Nintendo 3DS XL Mario & Luigi bundle for $169.99.
Meanwhile, you can grab $25 Xbox LIVE gift cards for $20 instead. These can be used to purchase games, DLC and other content from Xbox Store and download to your Xbox One and / or Xbox 360.
Keep in mind that these deals are good for today only. The offers will end at 1 a.m. EDT / 10 p.m. PDT.
