The Playstation 4 just received a significant discount at online retailer Groupon for Monday, May 26. Those interested in the console can pick it up for $40 off the regular price via a coupon code for a limited time.

A new PS4 is available from Groupon for $399.99. However, applying the promotion code “Goods10” during checkout will drop the price of the console by $40 to $359.99.

Shipping is free but sales tax may be applicable depending on the state you live in. There’s also a limit of three consoles per Groupon account and delivery is to be expected with 12 business days of purchase but the promo code is only good for one item. Those that have a Discover card may be able to get an additional 10 percent cash back through Shop Discover.

The PS4 deal at Groupon is supposed to be good for six days through Sunday, June 1. There’s no indication of how long the “Good10” promotional code will last.

If for any reason you don’t want or can’t get that deal for the Playstation 4 from Groupon, Fry’s Electronics is another option. The retailer is offering a free copy of “FIFA 14” with the purchase of the PS4 at $399.99.

The Playstation 4 is turning into an unqualified success at this stage for Sony. While the company is struggling financially overall, the console has helped minimize the losses by increasing sales and operating revenue by 14 percent. During a corporate strategy meeting, Sony president Kaz Hirai revealed that the console is already turning a profit.

"It's been a hugely successful launch, but the key to the long term success of the platform lies in how solidly we can continue to grow the installed base," Hirai said. "In terms of game titles for PS4, as of April 13, 47 titles had been launched with a total of 20.5 million units being sold via retailers and over the network on the PlayStation Store. From a profitability perspective, PS4 is also already contributing profit on a hardware unit basis, establishing a very different business framework from that of previous platform businesses.”
