Electronic Arts, the publisher behind the recently-released “Crysis 3,” have compared the graphics of the PS4 and Xbox 720 to the current-generation consoles. According to a report by GamesIndustry International on Feb. 26, the publisher revealed that the next-generation systems will have “between 8 and 10 times the power” of the PS3 and Xbox 360. As a result, the will be able to create a “level of gameplay experience that is unprecedented” on the PS4 and Xbox 720.
“Crysis 3” was released for the PC platform in addition to the current-generation PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, in North America on Feb. 19. The latest video game from the “Crysis” franchise was developed by Crytek and published by the aforementioned Electronic Arts. Sony officially announced the PS4 during their Playstation Meeting press conference that took place in New York on Feb. 20. Microsoft is rumored to be holding an event to unveil the Xbox 720 on April 26. Both next-generation systems are slated to come out this holiday season.
