Losing your keys, your computer bag, or a valuable item you need to transport from one place to another.

Thankfully technology has added some insurance to our valuables. A little piece of mind we never had "back in the day."

Proximo is one of these products.

Attach a Proximo tag to whatever you like and you will always know where it is. Proximo links to a free app pm your Android (Galaxy S) or iOS smartphone to keep you up-to-date.

Do you have a problem with misplacing your smartphone?

By pressing the button on your Proximo key fob, your smartphone alarm will go off, allowing you to find it when it's in a pocket on your other jacket, or lodged under a pillow.

But, I'm sure you have one question.

"Does it really work?"

The answer is yes, but more on that in a minute.

Per Proximo, here is what you need to know about this "game changing" device:

-Proximo is a comprehensive, active and “always on” system that lets users to know where their smartphone, keys and up to five other valuable items are, at all times

-Attach the Proximo Key Fob to your keys, and it alerts you if they get left behind

- The free app lets you “tap-to-find” your valuables and allows you to view where your items were last seen on a map

-The app’s proximity meter shows you how close you are from your missing item

-Users can personalize the Proximo Key Fob and Tag(s) with proximity alarm tones, images and names

I thought I would give Proximo a try on a recent day as I was at a popular golf course. One of a golfer's worst fears is losing a wallet or keys while enjoying a round of golf.

The average golf course covers several square miles and finding a lost set of keys would make one reference the old "needle in a haystack" phrase. Since you cover just about every quadrant of the course during a round, a set of keys could be just about anywhere.

So with a golfing buddy in on the experiment, he took my key ring- with a Proximo fob attached to an unknown (to me) part of the golf course.

Now it was up to the app to see that my keys would get safely back in my possession.

Needless to say, I am now a big believer in Proximo. The app took me from a far corner of the course to the driving range to be reunited with my keys.

I'm not sure what the best feature of Proximo is.

The ease of use, the affordability, or the fact that it actually works.

Put it all together and you need to get to www.myproximo.com and get one or two for yourself.
