Note: Due to my work schedule, I will not be updating the weather forecast this Sunday. The next scheduled update will not be until Monday night for Tuesday. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Forecast discussion: After a little sunshine in the morning, clouds increased throughout the afternoon, in lieu of two different systems to affect us tonight. A weak area of low pressure has formed off the coast of North Carolina. Also, a cold front is moving into the Mid-Atlantic. The two systems will combine tonight, and bring some isolated showers until dawn. High pressure will then clear our skies for Sunday, but winds will be breezy during the afternoon.
We will see good weather on Monday, but you will notice temperatures getting colder each day. The colder air will come down from Canada, as an upper level trough moves over the eastern U.S. This trough will remain over the area right into the end of the month. It will also help bring more low pressure systems into the Northeast.
By Tuesday, a new cold front will bring some scattered showers through the daytime hours. The front will move offshore, but the computer models are suggesting that a new low may develop off the coast of New Jersey. The low will then bring showers into Southern New England before the end of the morning. We will then see rain and some possible wet snow in higher elevations end by the late morning on Thursday. Also, as we move into the end of the workweek, the night time temperatures may create frost in some areas. A weak disturbance may create a few showers by Saturday night.
