Providence Restaurant Weeks isn't limited to restaurants only in Providence, but in surrounding Rhode Island cities as well. One of my personal favorites is Sophia's Tuscan Grille, located at 1729 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI, where you'll find some of the best rustic casual Italian cuisine in the state. Providence Restaurant Weeks Now Through January 26
"Recently ranked #1 for "Food/Drink/Restaurants" in Travel + Leisure’s 2012 "America’s Favorite Cities" poll, Providence Winter Restaurant Weeks will continue through Saturday, January 26, 2013. With nearly 100 of the destination’s all-star restaurants on the roster, the two-week event invites diners to exercise their taste buds through a special three-course prix fixe menu priced at $14.95 per person for lunch and $29.95 per person for dinner," according to a recent press release from GoProvidence.com.
"From the classic family-owned eateries in Providence’s Federal Hill neighborhood to New England-inspired fare in Downcity, the city offers an eclectic choice for food lovers. This year’s participants include fine dining establishments such as New Rivers and Gracie’s; Italian favorites like Bacaro and Mediterraneo, haute farmhouse cuisine from La Laiterie; and innovative new hot spots including The ROI and Coco Pazzo. All Restaurant Weeks specials will be offered in addition to the regular menu and do not include beverage, tax or gratuity."
