Four Bobby Combs Century Doubles tournaments scheduled

The first Bobby Combs Century Doubles tournament of the 2014-15 bowling season is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Sept. 21, at Sarasota Lanes. The always-popular event features a format that calls for all doubles teams consisting of partners with combined ages of 100 or more as of the tournament date. Each team will roll three handicap (90 percent of 220) games.

In each Century Doubles tourney, competition will begin at 2 p.m., and the cost is set at $30 per doubles team. The fee breakdown consists of $12 for lineage, $14 into the prize fund and $4 earmarked for the Sarasota-Manatee Youth Scholarship Fund.

Pre-entries are requested, but walk-ins will be accepted, pending lane availability. However, walk-ins must register at least 45 minutes prior to the 2 p.m. starting time.
