Other foods that are high in protein are Adzuki beans or Azuki beans, which are of Japanese origin and black rice, which is of Chinese origin.

Read the history of the black rice, also called the forbidden rice at one time.   Black rice was reserved for royalty only and if one was caught stealing a handful of this ancient rice; one would be put to death.  Luckily, it is no longer a forbidden rice and can be purchased locally.  Prepare this rice as a porridge, use stevia to sweeten.
