Trademarks – Your brand name must be protected! So, it’s important that you protect it with a trademark!

Patents- Protect your good idea with a patent!
Provisional Applications for Patents- Less expensive than a full patent application and gets you that date of invention established.
Inventor's Logs- Have a great idea, start by keeping an inventors log. Use a spiral bound notebook and keep all ideas there (such as date you invented the product, etc.)
Confidentiality Agreements - Protect your idea by using a non-disclosure agreement. Have your employees sign a non-disclosure agreement during the application process.
