He is an elite pass rusher, and uses a variety of moves to get around blocks. In terms of short area quickness he may be the fastest kid in the 2010 draft, and does a nice job of keeping blockers unbalanced. He is the kind of player that NFL offenses will have to account for.
While he may not have elite speed in chasing down ball carriers, he does react very well to the play, and is relentless in his pursuit. He also explodes off his stance, allowing him to get a step on the blocker.
He does an amazing job of extending his arms on the blocker and reading the play. He is strong enough to control his blocker and make plays at the ball carrier.
For a DE he gets a lot of tackles, a combined 100 over 2008-09, and is versatile as well. In College he played both end spots, and even saw sometime inside against the Guards. His quickness off the snap allows him to be effective at any position on the D line, and can even be productive standing up in a 3-4 scheme.
