This Lifetime Television drama is one worth watching. You will be brought back to 2008 when the first news of the unbelievable Casey Anthony case was streamed across the media to the nation. Director Peter Werner brings the years 3 long years of this case and neatly presents them in an hour and a half of film. Prosecuting Casey Anthony follows the prosecuting team of Jeff Ashton (Rob Lowe), Linda Drane Burdick (Elizabeth Mitchell), and Frank George (David Richmond-Peck) as they pool the evidence and try to piece together a prosecution against Casey Anthony with little to no DNA evidence left from Caylee's body. Also following Defense Attorney Jose Baez (Oscar Nunez) and his struggle to prove Casey's innocence through the prosecution's lack of evidence. Prosecuting Casey Anthony vividly depicts Jeff Ashton's confidence in his case and the confidence that the majority of not only Florida, but America felt that the jury would find Casey guilty. However, staying true to events, we remember our feelings as we once again watch the jury find Casey Anthony not guilty on all counts except the 4 counts of lying to a police officer. While this movie stays true to the events of the case we are left at the end wanting more. There are certain events left out of the movie (trying to stay within the time limits, no doubt) and there is a feeling as though there is more to tell in the story but there was not ample time due to restraints so it was cut and quickly ended in the best way possible. Overall, though, this movie stayed true to the events and was an excellent depiction of a very tragic, recent event.
