Prose in sixty seconds

Tulsa, OK – The first 4th Friday Open Mic of 2013 will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Agora Coffee House. In addition to the open mic, the audience will also be privy to a 1 minute poetry slam.

The 1 minute poetry slam concept is simple. Each poet should arrive ready to perform a total of three poems no more than sixty seconds long. The poets will then compete in three sixty second rounds. Penalties will be given to poets who go over the sixty second limit. When the dust clears, the last poet standing will be declared the winner.

An open mic will immediately follow the competition.

General admission is free, however, all slam participants are required to place $5, or $10 if the majority prefers, into the pot. The winner of the slam will be awarded the loot!
Open Mic participants are not required to pay a fee, however early arrival is suggested as Open Mic spaces are limited.
